HUMAS / Hubungan Masyarakat

Salah satu bagian dari organisasi sekolah adalah HUMAS (Hubungan Masyarakat). Sesuai dengan namanya, bagian ini mengurusi hubungan antara masyarakat dalam sekolah dan hubungan sekolah dengan masyarakat luar. Hubungan antar masyarakat dalam sekolah yang dimaksud adalah HUMAS menjembatani setiap bagian dalam sekolah, hubungan siswa dengan kesiswaan, kebutuhan siswa dengan sarana prasarana sekolah, hubungan siswa dengan kurikulum di sekolah, dan lain-lain. Oleh karena itu, HUMAS adalah salah satu bagian dari organisasi sekolah yang dapat di subtitusikan pada bagian lain yang memang membutuhkan bantuan.

Selain itu hubungan antar masyarakat dalam sekolah juga ditunukkan melalui kegiatan-kegiatan non-akademis. Misalnya kegiatan keagamaan, hari besar nasional dan hari besar sekolah. Dalam hal ini humas bekerja sama dengan kesiswaan, kurikulum, sarana prasarana, dan bendahara. Dalam suatu kegiatan siswa dikerahkan oelh kesiswaan, jadwal di atur oleh kurikulum, pelengkapan oleh sarana prasarana, dan kebutuhan dana oleh bendahara sekolah. HUMAS Bertugas merencanakan pelaksanaan itu sendiri mulai dari perencanaan awal hingga berlangsungnya acara.

HUMAS juga menjadi fasilitator hubungan antara pihak sekolah dengan luar sekolah (masyarakat). Masyarakat yang dimaaksud adalah orang tua atau wali mired dan masyarakat luas. Salah satu lembaga yang menjadi sarana antar hubungan tersebut adalah komite. Komite adalah lembaga pengawas sekolah yang beranggotakan orang tua atau wali siswa. Segala urusan yang berkaitan dengan sekolah dan siswa, komite berhak tau dan mencari tahu. Mulai dari kegiatan pembangunan sampai pada kegiatan-kegiatan siswa. Selain itu komite juga berhak memberikan saran dan kritik kepada sekolah.

Pada dasarnya humas memiliki fugsi sebagai berikut.

  1. Menjadi penghubung komite sekolah dengan masyarakat, komite dengan sekolah, dan komite dengan dewan pendidikan.
  2. Mengidentifikasi aspirasi masyarakat untuk perencanaan pendidikan.
  3. Membuat usulan kebijakan dan program pendidikan sekolah.
  4. Mensosialisasikan kebijakan dan program sekolah kepada masyarakat.
  5. Menampung pengaduan dan keluhan terhadap kebijakan dan program sekolah.
  6. Mengkomunikasikan pengaduan dan keluhan masyarakat terhadap sekolah.
